Max Living | Pop-Up Concept
As a manufacturer of mattresses, we have always believed that good sleep contributes to overall well-being. We design and craft our beds to meet the basic need of getting quality rest, and to support our customers in dealing with the demands of modern lifestyles. Coming home after a long stressful day, everyone deserves a good night’s rest on a comfortable bed.
The years of the pandemic not only changed our lifestyles, but also how we see our homes. Living rooms became sleeping areas, dining areas converted into offices, and bedrooms – an all-in-one space for activities other than sleep. As we spent more time hunkered down at home, we were reminded the importance of establishing meaningful connections and creating cherished experiences – whether with loved ones or by ourselves, in a place where we can feel well, happy and comfortable
Living life to the fullest, unbounded by space.
In the inaugural edition of Max Living, we tried our hand at transforming living spaces. Inspired by trends, design themes and MaxCoil’s philosophy of “let us take care of the rest”, this pop-up concept allowed us to explore and to fulfil the possibilities of what areas in our homes can achieve with more thought and effort.
As we move towards days of spending more time outside, we can leave each day knowing that there is a safe space for us to head back to – a sanctuary where we can rest, relax and live our best moments.
Home is more than just a living space. It’s a place where we create meaningful experiences.

When You Wish Upon A Star
The kid’s bedroom is their safe haven and as much as possible, it should be designed with them in mind. One thing to do this is to allow and encourage them to participate in the process.
The children’s bedroom is often where imaginary worlds collide and fairy tales live. Pre-schoolers Katy and Angel’s bedroom is designed with a fantasy theme in mind. The use of colours, shapes and textures reflects the children’s personalities, creating an enchanting room for rest and recreation.
The trend of geometric patterns is incorporated into the look of Katy’s bed frame, bearing somewhat of a passing resemblance to the crosses in the tic-tac-toe game or the multiplication sign. Ade bed frame stands out for its striking design and aptly reflects Katy’s keen sense of fun and aptitude for problem-solving.
A suitable mattress for children, besides being comfortable, should be firm enough to keep their spines in neutral alignment to support their growing bodies. Part of the MaxKids collection, Nappie 6.5″ foam mattress offers a traditional even firm feel and provides adequate spine support.
Facilitating quality rest also means sleeping on the right pillow. Designed for juniors, the organic cotton natural latex flakes pillow is made with premium natural latex foam from Belgium Latexco, and organic cotton cultivated free from pesticides and harmful chemicals. The soft fabric also comes with Swiss Sanitized® antimicrobial treatment for optimal hygiene protection.
Angel’s love for reading makes Koby the perfect bed frame for her. The shades of burgundy and beige make a stunning juxtaposition, with the furry-like texture of the upholstery adding that warm touch of cosiness. Koby features pockets that are ingeniously sewn onto the headboard, encouraging this little bookworm to keep her books close by for bedtime reading and to choose titles at one glance.
As a light sleeper who is sensitive to temperature, Angel sleeps on the Snoozie 6.5″ pocketed spring mattress which boasts independent cylindrical shaped coils with good air circulation and more responsive support to ease pressure points.
Angel’s fascination with mythical creatures extends from the skies to the seas. Depicting mermaids and sea animals, the design of the Fantasy World bedsheets is delightful to behold in pink and continues to pique Angel’s curiosity about the underwater world. Made of 100% percale cotton, these sheets are smooth to touch, dry and crisp against the skin, and breathable – a great option for creating a cool sleeping environment for children.
By keeping the children’s personalities and welfare in mind when furnishing their bedroom, it can become a space where imaginations are encouraged to grow and their well-being is taken care of.
Kelvin loves to draw. He is into cars, planes and shooting stars, and the design of his room is kept true to his penchant. Often associated with boys but not commonly known, blue is linked to creativity and productivity due to the physiological responses evoked by the colour. Looking at blue helps to lower blood pressure and pulse rate, making us feel more calm and relaxed and creating the right headspace for ideas.
The bed can be a focal point of the room and we picked a trendy denim blue shade (also his favourite) for Kelvin’s Joy bed frame with matching blue cushion accessories. Newly launched, the MaxKids bed frame collection features interesting, striking designs crafted with durable materials for sturdy support.
Just as it’s important to create a good foundation for rest, it is a great way to nurture the creative tendencies of kids by giving them a space to play, learn and express themselves. The bedside area is furnished with a bright orange pouf for this budding artist to sit on as he draws on the easel stand. Versatile as a seat, footstool or side table, Hansel helps add a splash of colour and zest to Kelvin’s bedroom.

School Of Rock
Decorating a teen’s room is a challenge that is best approached as a collaboration between parents and children. Letting your teen have some control over their room’s decor will help them to feel invested in the outcome, helping to ensure that the space is a reflection of their evolving tastes and personality.
Depending on the age and personality of the teen in question, the perfect bedroom for an adolescent might retain some of the familiar remnants of childhood, embrace a sense of playfulness and teen spirit, or lean toward an adult space that looks as grown up as they feel.
Belongs to: Teenage Brothers Fazlan and Farhan
Concept: Contemporary Minimalist
For teenage brothers Fazlan and Farhan, being twins is double the work and double the joy. Sharing a room may mean sacrificing some personal space, but it offers the opportunity to develop a closer bond with each other.
Sleeping Space
Sturdy and stylish, Dixon is MaxCoil’s interpretation of what a bunk bed should be. This double-decker bed not only frees up floor space but also comes with additional storage room courtesy of bottom drawers. With the ladder positioned at the side, this bed gives the brothers their designated sleep space and more privacy. Sporting clean lines and fabric upholstery available in earthy shades, Dixon pulls off a trendy look that suits any modern theme.
Both brothers are content with Firmline, a 5-inch foam mattress that is a perennial favourite for sleepers who prefer a no-frills mattress on the firmer side. This mattress complements the bunk bed with its suitable low height. Blaki, made of microfibre fill, is the perfect blanket for them as they tend to get warm easily during the night.
The Chill Out Zone
How do you create a casual and cosy space for teenagers to relax? A bean bag, coffee table and some floor cushions will do the trick. Not just any coffee table, the unique Scarlette has an organic shape that offers a playful take on mid-century form. Made of engineered wood with a white oak veneer, this table gives the boys a spot to work on their school assignments and catch up on the latest edition of Nat Geo magazine.
Fabulous for many reasons, Fabio floor cushion, allows the boys to relax. Lie back. Be in a prone position. Sprawl on the ground. Inspired by lounge recliners, Loggie is a place to sit without the seriousness of a chair. It may also be Fazlan’s favourite space to master the next popular tune on his guitar. We complement this chill-out zone with Cubio, as cushions come in handy for support and extra comfort.
One can never have enough storage space at home. Orella helps to keep things neat, with Farhan’s sports equipment stashed away out of sight. This storage ottoman functions as an additional seat when friends come to visit.
By opting for space-savvy furniture and sticking with neutral colours, it is possible to create a chic, contemporary bedroom that maximises space and minimises mess.
