Warranty Coverage

We are committed to the quality and workmanship of our products with most of our products covered by warranty. 

Due to hygiene reasons, our bedding accessories and bed linen products are not covered by warranty.

This warranty applies to purchases from Mattress International Pte Ltd (known as MIPL), PostureCare Mattress Gallery Pte Ltd, authorised retailers/dealers and official e-marketplaces. The list of authorised retailers/dealers is available on our store locator page. 

All brand/ trade labels should be kept intact to identify the product and validate the warranty.

This warranty is non-transferable and extended only to the original purchaser and his/her delivery address. We will honour only 1 delivery address. In the event of a change of address, the original purchaser must update his/her new address with MIPL via email to continue enjoying the benefits of the warranty coverage. The delivery of the purchased product from the old address to the new address must also be handled by MIPL to ensure the validity of the warranty.

The warranty period varies by product and will commence from the date of delivery/collection of the product. Please refer to the warranty coverage and period below for details.

During the warranty period, MIPL will replace or repair the product at our discretion if it is deemed to have a manufacturing defect related to the material or workmanship of the product. MIPL reserves the right to substitute comparable models or materials if the identical models or materials are unavailable at the time of replacement or repair.

After inspection and assessment, should a product be deemed as defective due to misuse or wear and tear instead of manufacturing issues, the cost of materials and replacement parts, with all transport, service and other related costs are to be covered by the customer.

For manufacturing defects detected after the warranty period, the cost of material components and replacement parts, with all transport, service and other related costs are to be covered by the customer.

Any replacement or repair will not extend beyond the original period of the limited warranty, nor will it constitute the beginning of a new limited warranty period.

MIPL’s decision on all issues relating to complaints regarding manufacturing defects, either for materials or workmanship, shall be final and conclusive. Any decision to replace or have part(s) repaired shall be at MIPL’s sole discretion.

Warranty Claim

Please submit your warranty claim to customercare@mattressintl.com with the invoice number, a description of the problem and a photo of the defect. The original sales invoice must be presented as proof of purchase.

Mattress Warranty Coverage

The limited warranty for mattresses applies to manufacturing defects related to the materials and workmanship of spring coil and foam.

This warranty conditions stated below apply to MaxCoil, mooZzzz, VIRO and DeRUCCI mattresses.

The limited warranty covers a complimentary replacement or repair (including transport and service fee) for any manufacturing defects within 1 year from the date of delivery/collection. If the product model is not available at the time of replacement, it will be substituted with an equivalent model of similar quality and value.

From  the 2nd year onwards, the cost of replacement or repair will be pro-rated and charged based on the number of years left in the warranty for the product. Transport and service fees will also be chargeable.

 

Limitations and Exclusions

This warranty does not apply to:

  • Normal wear and tear, negligent usage, improper care/maintenance or accidents including but not limited to burns, cuts, scratches, tears, scuffs, watermarks, indentations or damage from pets. Please refer to the product care for mattresses.
  • Stains, soiling, and discolouration that may occur over time. A mattress protector should be used to prevent staining and soiling.
  • Damages caused by using bleach, abrasives or other harsh cleaning agents.
  • Softening of the mattress over time due to regular usage. A mattress will eventually get softer with prolonged exposure to body weight pressure.
  • Body impressions of 38mm (1.5 inches) or less. Body impressions on bedding are a natural phenomenon that reflects that the comfort layers are conforming to the body. Hence, body impressions of 38mm (1.5 inches) or less on mattresses are common occurrences not considered manufacturing defects.
  • Dimensions that are within the tolerance level of +/- 2cm. While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information presented, product sizes are subjected to a dimension variance due to the suppleness of the upholstery, manufacturing process and compressed packaging etc. The height of the mattress is measured from the maximum height of the mattress. Mattress dimensions in inches are rounded down to the nearest 0.5 inches.
  • Product weight.
  • Product that has been tampered with and/or misused in any way e.g. bending, standing, or jumping on the product which puts excessive strain on the internal components and can cause damage to its structure.
  • Mattress that has been damaged due to inadequate support from an unsuitable bed frame or platform. The foundation used should be flat and solid and structurally strong enough to support the weight of the mattress and its user. Using an inferior foundation (e.g. wooden strips with wide gaps in between) may undermine the support for the mattress and cause damage to the internal components.
  • Mattress fabric and removable covers (including stains, burns, pilling, softening of fabric or loosening of covers).
  • Border wires (e.g. bent with inappropriate shifting over time).
  • Mattress handles. The mattress handles are designed for positioning the mattress and should never be used to lift or support the weight of the mattress.
  • Bed bugs and insects or if the mattress is found to be in an unsanitary condition, even if the mattress is found to be defective.
  • Individual comfort preference of the mattress related to texture and firmness (e.g. too hard or too soft). Comfort preference is subjective to each individual and is not considered a manufacturing defect. Different sizes of the same mattress model may have different comfort levels due to the number of coils and tension of the materials. There may also be a difference in the feel of the mattress tested at the showroom compared to a new mattress, as the new materials will require time to adapt to the body’s contours and weight.
  • Personal dissatisfaction with the product including but not limited to heat issues, body aches, allergies and sensitivities, and new smells/odours.
  • Product found to be repaired or modified by the customer or other parties not authorised by MIPL. The warranty will be considered void.
  • Product that has been used outdoors.
  • Product sold by unauthorised sellers. This warranty does not cover products not purchased directly from Mattress International Pte Ltd, PostureCare Mattress Gallery Pte Ltd, authorised retailers/dealers and official e-marketplaces.
  • Product sold for commercial use.
  • Product sold under “Clearance Sale” and “Display Item”.
  • Product shipped out of Singapore.
  • Service, transport and removal cost of the product unless otherwise stated.

Bed Frame Warranty Coverage

The limited warranty for bed frames applies to manufacturing defects related to materials and workmanship of the frame structure, gas spring and mechanism (where applicable).

Our bed frames come with Tim-bor® and Bora-Care® wood protection and the warranty covers any frame structure damage caused by wood insects.

 

MaxCoil Bed Frame Warranty

 

For purchases before 1st April 2022

The limited warranty covers a complimentary replacement or repair (including transport and service fee for the 1st year) for any manufacturing defects within 3 years from the date of delivery. If the exact product model is not available at the time of replacement, it will be substituted with an equivalent model of similar quality and value.

 

For purchases from 1st April 2022

The limited warranty covers a complimentary replacement or repair (including transport and service fee for the 1st year) for any manufacturing defects within 5 years from the date of delivery. If the exact product model is not available at the time of replacement, it will be substituted with an equivalent model of similar quality and value.

 

mooZzz Bed Frame Warranty

The limited warranty covers a complimentary replacement or repair (including transport and service fee) for any manufacturing defects within 1 year from the date of delivery. If the exact product model is not available at the time of replacement, it will be substituted with an equivalent model of similar quality and value.

 

VIRO Bed Frame Warranty

The limited warranty covers a complimentary replacement or repair (including transport and service fee) for any manufacturing defects within 1 year from the date of delivery. If the exact product model is not available at the time of replacement, it will be substituted with an equivalent model of similar quality and value.

The limited warranty covers a complimentary replacement or repair (including transport and service fee) for any manufacturing defects up to 1 year or full warranty period (whichever lesser) from the date of delivery/collection. If the exact product model is not available at the time of replacement, it will be substituted with an equivalent model of similar quality and value.

 

VIRO Sofa Warranty

The limited warranty covers a complimentary replacement or repair (including transport and service fee) for any manufacturing defects up to 1 year from the date of delivery/collection. If the exact product model is not available at the time of replacement, it will be substituted with an equivalent model of similar quality and value.

 

DeRUCCI Sofa Warranty

The limited warranty covers a complimentary replacement or repair (including transport and service fee for the 1st year) for any manufacturing defects up to 3 years from the date of delivery. If the exact product model is not available at the time of replacement, it will be substituted with an equivalent model of similar quality and value.

From the 2nd year onwards, transport and service fees as well as the delivery fee for the return of the defective product and for any replacement will also be chargeable.

We do not offer warranty for our home furnishing products unless otherwise stated.

If the product is deemed to have a manufacturing defect, Mattress International Pte Ltd (known as MIPL) will at its discretion replace or repair the product. MIPL reserves the right to substitute comparable materials or models if the identical materials or models are not available at the time of replacement or repair.

This warranty is extended to purchases from MIPL, its authorised retailers/dealers and official e-marketplaces. A list of authorised retailers/dealers is available at our store locator page.

Warranty Reference Guide

 

Mattresses

  • This warranty applies only to genuine structural defects in the mattress pertaining to workmanship and spring coil defects.
  • This warranty covers a free replacement or repair (including transportation charge) at the manufacturer’s discretion for workmanship and spring coil defect within 1 year from date of delivery. If identical mattress is not available at the time of replacement, it will be substituted with an equivalent quality model of similar value.
  • From the 2nd year onwards, the cost of replacement or repair will be charged based on the number of years you have used your current mattress, plus transportation charge.
  • This warranty excludes fair wear and tear, negligent usage, rough handling, improper care/maintenance and body impressions up of 38mm (1.5 inch). All mattresses may show body impressions as the upholstery settles. This is not a structural or manufacturing defect but a common occurrence indicating that the upholstery materials are conforming to the body.
  • This warranty does not apply to mattress dimensions that is within the tolerance level of +/- 1 to 2cm. While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information presented, product sizes are subjected to a dimension variance due to the suppleness of the upholstery, manufacturing process and compressed packaging etc. The approximate height of the mattress is taken from the maximum height of the mattress. Mattress dimensions presented in inches are rounded down to the nearest 0.5 inches.
  • This warranty does not apply to the comfort level of the mattress including but not limited to: too soft, too hard, heat issues, back aches and rashes. Different sizes of the same mattress model may have different comfort levels due to the number of coils and tension of the materials. There may also be a difference to the feel of the mattress tested at the showroom compared to a new mattress as the new materials will require time to adapt to your body’s contours and weight.
  • This warranty shall not apply if the mattress is tampered and/or misused in any way. (e.g. Folding, bending, standing or jumping on the mattress which puts excessive strain on the internal components and can damage the mattress and foundation)
  • This warranty shall not apply if mattress has been burned, soiled, is in unsanitary condition, abused or damaged, including border wires which are bent with inappropriate shifting. A mattress protector should be used to prevent soiling.
  • This warranty shall not apply if the mattress is damaged due to improper foundation. The foundation used should be flat, solid and strong. Using an inferior foundation (e.g. wooden strips with wide gaps in between) will undermine the support of the whole mattress and can damage internal components.

  • This warranty excludes fair wear and tear, negligent usage, rough handling, improper care/maintenance and body impressions up of 38mm (1.5 inch). All bed frame/sofa may show body impressions as the upholstery settles. This is not a structural or manufacturing defect but a common occurrence indicating that the upholstery materials are conforming to the body.
  • This warranty does not apply to bed frame/sofa dimensions that is within the tolerance level of +/- 1 to 2cm. While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information presented, product sizes are subjected to a dimension variance due to the suppleness of the upholstery, manufacturing process and compressed packaging etc.
  • This warranty does not apply to the comfort level of the bed frame/sofas including but not limited to: too soft, too hard, heat issues, back aches and rashes. There may also be a difference to the comfort level of the sofa tested at the showroom compared to a new sofa as the new materials will require time to adapt to your body’s contours and weight.
  • This warranty shall not apply if the bed frame/sofa is tampered and/or misused in any way. (e.g. Standing or jumping on the bed frame/sofa which puts excessive strain on the internal components and can damage the bed frame/sofa and foundation)
  • This warranty shall not apply if bed frame/sofa has been burned, soiled, is in unsanitary condition, abused or damaged.

 

Warranty Exclusions and Limitations

 
  • This warranty does not cover damages resulting from negligence, abuse, normal wear and tear, or accidents: including but not limited to burns, cuts, scratches, tears, scuffs, watermarks, indentations or damage from pets.
  • This warranty does not cover damages by using detergents, abrasives or other harsh cleaning agents.
  • This warranty does not cover products that are stained, soiled or infested with insects or pests even if it is defective.
  • This warranty does not apply if the product is used outdoors when it is not intended for outdoor usage.
  • This warranty will be considered void if the product is found to be repaired or modified by the consumer or other parties not authorised by MIPL.
  • This warranty does not cover products sold as “clearance”, “display” or “distressed” pieces.
  • This warranty does not cover products not purchased directly from MIPL, its authorised retailers/dealers and official e-marketplaces.
  • This warranty does not cover products shipped out of Singapore.
  • Any product replaced or repaired under this Limited Warranty will be covered by the Limited Warranty for the remainder of the original warranty period only.
  • After inspection and assessment, should a product be deemed as defective due to misuse or wear and tear instead of manufacturing issues, the cost of material components and replacement parts, with all labour charges and transportation costs (if any) are to be covered by the customer.
  • For manufacturing defects detected after the warranty period, the cost of material components and replacement parts, with all labour charges and transportation costs (if any) are to be covered by the customer.
  • This warranty does not apply to variance within manufacturing tolerance.
  • Due to hygiene reasons, bedding accessories and bed linen products will not be covered by warranty.

Warranty Registration

 

Please register your warranty online to obtain the benefits of the product warranty. You will need to produce the original sales invoice as proof of purchase when making a claim.

 

Warranty Claim

 

If you encounter a problem with your product, please submit your claim to customercare@mattressintl.com with the invoice number, a description of the problem and a photo of the defect. The original sales invoice will need to be produced as proof of purchase.
